On the tour, you will participate in
several music festivals, and get an
idea of the traditions around music
and dancing beyond just performing
on stage.
The tour may visit a "dalahäst"
factory, where the special painted
toy horses so special to Dalarna
are produced, still as a cottage
industry.
You will see musical instruments,
clothing, and folk art styles peculiar
to smaller localities.
You will learn local customs having
to do with baptism, marriage and
death.
You will learn many local food
customs, sampling special foods
that are never offered in restaurants.
