Folk Music!

-Attend several music festivals -Hear traditional music and singing -Attend workshops -Examine and play traditional instruments -Learn and participate in Midsummer song dances -Find music and song publications -Meet and visit with representative folk musicians

Your tour guide is an accomplished player of Swedish folkmusic on both fiddle and nyckelharpa.   The 2007 tour will include private sessions with Swedish fiddlers, as well as attendance at the National fiddlers' gathering (Riksspelmansstämma) at Degeberga, in the province of Skåne.      There will be music at both public and private Midsommar celebrations, as well. Participants in the tour are encouraged to bring their instruments along.
