FOLKMUSIC
The folk culture of Sweden is a
fascinating study.   Every
category is a blending affected
by the others.   To truly
understand the folk music, one
must be acquainted with the
environment in which it
developed.
This tour will take a group of 5
travellers along with an
experienced guide to see music
and dance festivals, museums,
castles, country churches,
Viking grave mounds, and
wonderful sites where nature
can be enjoyed.
There will be stays at hotels
and bed-&-breakfast homes.
Some activities will be for the
general public, and some will
be arranged specifically for this
tour.
The exact itinerary will be
determined according to the
specific interests of the
participants:
-Musicians will want extra time
meeting and playing with local
Swedish folk musicians.
-Artists will want to visit displays
of prominent Swedish artwork,
as well as spending extra time
enjoying folk art in its place.
-The spiritually adventurous
might  want to spend the night
in a haunted castle, or visit
sites where witches were tried,
or where trolls were sighted in
the long past.
