Fridays are the days for our Swedish Fiddle Sessions on Zoom.
Our repertoire list is continuing to grow! Please give me suggestions as to what
tunes you would like added. Remember that the intention is to have tunes that are
already fairly well-known in areas of Sweden or among regional groups of
Swedish-American players. Also, with a few exceptions, I try not to have any recently
composed tunes.
Still for the foreseeable future, the sessions will be every Friday at 6:00 p.m Pacific
Time (9 p.m. for east coasters).
I will try to keep the list updated, but I am redoing the website, so for a week or two
we may be a little behind. Sorry!
Session format:
The basic session is an hour in length, perhaps a little longer if there is interest. 45
minutes will be spent playing tunes from the common repertoire as listed below. The
next 15 minutes will be for teaching a new tune. Then, for those who are interested,
there will be another tune taught, this one more complex than the first. Then a little
time for chatting among ourselves before closing gives us a chance to get to know
each other.
Fun and good music is the aim!

The following tunes are entirely my own arrangements of Swedish
fiddle tunes. Bow marks and ornamentation are intentionally left out.
Anyone is welcome to copy them and print them out, and give links to
them to other people. I only ask that I be given credit for being the
arranger and that composers be noted where applicable.
